May 31, 2011California metallers THE HUMAN ABSTRACT have been forced to drop off the "Pull Me From The Gallows Tour" with SCALE THE SUMMIT, THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE, LETLIVE. and ELITIST "due to a sudden and devastating loss to the [THE HUMAN ABSTRACT] family." A statement from the group adds, "Please keep the band and their family in your thoughts and prayers."

THE HUMAN ABSTRACT's third full-length album, "Digital Veil", sold around 3,200 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 177 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD landed at position No. 5 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
THE HUMAN ABSTRACT recently parted ways with guitarist Andrew Tapley. He wrote in a post on his Facebook page, "This wasn't decided by me; however, there are no hard feelings."
Tapley joined THE HUMAN ABSTRACT in 2007 and played on the band's sophomore full-length album, "Midheaven", which came out in August 2008 via Hopeless Records. He is also featured on "Digital Veil".
